Recently I met a wonderful lady, Gemma Booker. Gemma has significant experience in the children's retail industry and has been such a wonderful person to talk to! Her company, Bookers Guide (http://www.ibookersguide.com/) is going to be handling our PR. I can spend hours talking with her on the phone, and she's full of so much helpful knowledge. Having people like this to work with is such a blessing because there is always more we can learn in this industry and in just a few conversations with her, she has taught me so much! So, thanks Gemma!! We at Budzie look so forward to our relationship with you and your company!
Fall samples

We have gotten half of our Fall samples in, and the other half will be in next week. We just love this line of Budzie clothes! It's much more complicated than our past lines, so it's taking a couple rounds of sampling. We are doing our photo shoot next week and will be posting them as pre-sale items then. The samples will be sent off to our showrooms in Dallas and New York once we get the photos taken. This line is really fun. We have done some sporty type outfits, a skull outfit and of course, lots of peace signs and animal prints.

It's my first blog and I just wanted to say how excited I am to have joined Budzie! My name is Lynn, I am a graphic designer and have been working in the industry for over 10 years now.
Becoming business partners with Kerry, who has been a very close friend for years, in an industry that is as fun and exciting to work in as this, is just too good to be true!!! It's been almost a year now that I have been helping Kerry with Budzie designs and now becoming a partner in Budzie and making it a full-time commitment, I am really looking forward to developing Kerry's incredible ideas with my artistic talent to accentuate Budzie's unique style!
Being a graphic designer allows me to work with many unique individuals and on so many creative projects but I can't express how blessed I feel to be able to work with my dear friend every day, and design clothes that give little girls a trendy style but still giving them a unique edge for one of kind desings.
Our Summer line just came out and every outfit turned out awesome, the girls are going to LOVE them! I look forward to updating you on all our fun ideas and incredible experiences in this new adventure for me! And I just hope all the girls love wearing Budzie as much as we love creating outfits for them!
New business partner

I am so excited to announce that I now have a new business partner. Her name is Lynn Martin, and she has been a dear friend of mine for years. We've known each other since back in Junior High school. She is a Graphics Designer and so incredibly talented! Not only do I have my best friend as a business partner, but someone who will add so much to our designs. She has been working with me over the past month to create our Fall 2009 line, and we have created some really cool, trendy stuff! Without her, these would not be as cool! I'm so excited to share in this venture with her and for all of our customers see our next line. We plan to really increase our marketing over the next year and hope to get in many more Boutiques. The company called The Coffs will be representing our line at the Dallas Kids apparel marketing show in March. I'm so excited to see how that goes. We also will start attending many marketing shows ourselves and can't wait to get to know others in this industry. There was a delay in our Spring shipment, but it's now on it's way so we'll be receiving it within the next week. Then, things are expected to get very hectic! That's all for now. Spring/Summer line samples

We just got our Spring/Summer samples in last week and they are soooo cute! I had to make a few revisions and will be receiving the final outfits around early February. We are so excited to get these out to our stores and also on our web site. I truly believe these are our best outfits yet! I've showed them to friends and family and they all said the same thing "wow, these are your best yet!"... so that makes me feel confident. My favorite part is seeing all the little ones wearing them. My family was at the Zoo this summer and a little girl got on the train right in front of us, and she was wearing one of my Budzie outfits. That was the first time that had happened, and I was just so excited. So, my hope is I get to run into more and more darling little girls in my clothes. :) School starts back up tomorrow so my little one will be off to school and it's back to work for me. Tax time coming so financial reports are taking over my life... yuck! Also starting to design our next line. The fun never ends in the Budzie world! Glad to say we survived the holiday's and am glad for things to be back to normal now. I hope everyone really enjoyed their holidays as well! ~Kerry
Just another day

Another day in the wonderful Budzie world. We just added another retailer located in KY and are very excited about our long lasting relationship with them! I also just finished our Spring/Sumer line and sent them off for production. I think this might be my best line yet! Very fun stuff coming! I also just registered for the Chicago apparel show in January, and am looking very forward to my first apparel show. I know it will be a great learning experience for more upcoming shows I plan to attend. I also hope to make great relationships with many retailers. I would also like to take a minute to thank my brother, Ryan, from the bottom of my heart for all of his help getting this business off the ground. He has volunteered a lot of his time in helping me out with all kinds of online marketing stuff that I knew nothing about, and without him, this web site would not exist. :) He is the best and I just really want him to know how much I appreciate everything. For my first blog I would like to introduce myself and our company. My name is Kerry Emswiler and I've been designing children's clothes for just over a year now. I previously worked in Marketing, but my little girl gave me great inspiration to follow a dream and get into designing. So far the Budzie business has passed anything I ever imagined! We have had boutiques interested in carrying our line from day one, and many happy customers who keep coming back. My Budzie line is edgy, fun and trendy. I've never been one to like pink frilly clothing, so it's not something you will ever see me designing. I love animal prints, big polka dots, rock and roll type stuff, tattoo prints, and lots of bling! I will continue to keep you updated on our line and it's fabulous progress!
